Placement Matters More Than People Think
Facial piercings are more visible than most, which means placement has a bigger impact on how they look and how well they heal. A nose piercing placed slightly off can sit awkwardly on the nostril. A labret set too shallow is more likely to migrate.
Our piercers look at your facial anatomy before recommending anything. They’ll show you where a placement will sit, how it will look with your features, and what healing will look like for that specific spot. If something isn’t going to work well for your anatomy, they’ll tell you.
Nose & Septum Piercings in St. Louis
Nose and septum piercings are our most popular facial piercings, and for good reason. They’re versatile, relatively quick to heal compared to other facial placements, and work with a wide range of jewelry styles.
Nostril piercings start at $70 and can be done on either side. Septum piercings sit inside the nose and can be flipped up and hidden when needed, which makes them popular with people who need a low-profile option for work. Both are walk-in friendly and take about 15 minutes start to finish.
What to Expect When You Walk In
Come in, check in at the front, and tell us what you’re thinking. Your piercer will sit down with you, look at the area, and talk through your options. Once you’ve agreed on placement and jewelry, they’ll set up with a sterile needle and fresh single-use equipment.
Facial piercings typically take about 15 minutes including the consultation. You’ll leave with aftercare instructions specific to your placement.

Do I need an appointment for a facial piercing?
No. All piercings at Enigma are walk-in only. Come by any day during business hours. Weekdays tend to have shorter waits.
How much do facial piercings cost?
Pricing ranges from $65 for a lip or labret to $90 for a bridge piercing. All prices include titanium starter jewelry. Upgrades to gold or specialty materials are available when you come in.
Can minors get facial piercings?
We do nose piercings for clients 13 and older with a parent or guardian present, valid ID, birth certificate, and a notarized consent form. There’s a $20 minor fee. Most other facial piercings require you to be 18. Call us if you have questions about a specific placement.
What kind of jewelry do you use?
All new piercings start with implant-grade titanium, which is hypoallergenic and the right choice for healing tissue. Once healed, you can upgrade to gold or other materials from our jewelry selection.
How long do facial piercings take to heal?
Nose piercings typically heal in 4 to 6 months. Septums are usually 6 to 8 weeks. Lip and labret piercings run about 3 to 6 months. Eyebrow and bridge piercings take longer, often 9 to 12 months, and need more careful aftercare. We’ll go over the specifics for your placement before you leave.
Do facial piercings leave scars?
A small mark is possible with any piercing, especially surface placements like eyebrow and bridge. Proper aftercare and not removing jewelry too early both reduce that risk. Your piercer will be straight with you about what to expect for your specific placement.
