What Makes a Good Body Piercing
Body piercings fail more often than people expect, and most of the time it comes down to three things: bad placement, wrong jewelry, or skipping aftercare.
Placement is the big one. A navel piercing set too shallow will reject. Nipple piercings placed without considering your anatomy will be uncomfortable and slow to heal. Our piercers look at the area first and tell you honestly whether a placement will work well for your body before they do anything.
Piercing jewelry matters too. Implant-grade titanium is the standard here for a reason. Low-quality metals irritate healing tissue and cause problems that have nothing to do with aftercare.
Navel Piercings in St. Louis
Navel piercings are one of the most requested body piercings we do. They take longer to heal than most people expect, typically 6 to 12 months, but with the right placement and consistent aftercare they heal well and look great long term.
We pierce navels for clients 13 and older with proper consent documentation. All navel piercings start at $95 and include titanium starter jewelry.
Nipple & Tongue Piercings in St. Louis
Nipple piercings require you to be 18. We do singles for $60 or pairs for $100. Healing runs about 9 to 12 months, sometimes longer. They need consistent aftercare and the right starter jewelry to heal properly, both of which we’ll cover before you leave.
Tongue piercings are $70 and heal faster than most body piercings, usually 4 to 8 weeks. There’s some swelling the first few days, which is normal. We’ll walk you through what to eat, what to avoid, and how to keep it clean while it settles.
What to Expect When You Walk In
Check in at the front and let us know what you’re interested in. Your piercer will look at the area, talk through placement and jewelry options, and answer any questions. Once you’re comfortable with the plan, they’ll set up with a sterile needle and fresh single-use equipment.
Body piercings take about 15 minutes including the consultation. You’ll leave with aftercare instructions specific to your placement.

Do I need to be 18 for a body piercing?
For nipple and tongue piercings, yes. Navel piercings are available for clients 13 and older with a parent or guardian present, valid ID, birth certificate, and a notarized consent form. There’s a $20 minor fee.
What kind of jewelry do you use?
All new piercings start with implant-grade titanium. It’s hypoallergenic and the right choice for healing tissue. Once your piercing is fully healed, you can upgrade to gold or other materials from our jewelry selection.
How long do body piercings take to heal?
Tongue piercings heal fastest, usually 4 to 8 weeks. Navel piercings take 6 to 12 months. Nipple piercings typically run 9 to 12 months, sometimes longer. Consistent aftercare makes a real difference. We’ll go over the specifics for your placement before you leave.
Can I bring my own jewelry?
We recommend starting with our implant-grade titanium jewelry for new piercings. Bringing outside jewelry for a fresh piercing is risky if the material or sizing isn’t right for healing. Once you’re healed, you’re welcome to bring in jewelry for a changeout.
